The Franklin County Department of Aging strives to enrich the lives of Senior Citizens in Franklin County. They offer a friendly place for fun, fellowship, educational programming.
The Department of Aging has two Senior Centers in Franklin County. The original center is located in Franklinton and the second center is located in Louisburg.
Activities of the senior centers include: Educational programs, Senior Games, Senior Spring Day, BINGO, dance classes (beginners and advance), card groups, Bible study, craft classes, parties, exercise classes, fitness centers, Cardio Drumming, Billiards, Crocheting, a Computer Lab, a Library, Coffee Club, Chess Lessons, Dominoes, Cornhole, visit from Bookmobile, etc. The two senior centers also strive to provide older adults and their families information about services available in Franklin County.
