A New PHW Initiative for Rural United Methodist Churches
Begin a journey with us toward Abundant Life…
How we care for our bodies and our souls is also how we should care for our minds.
The World Health Organization reports that one in four people will experience a mental health challenge at some point in their lives.
The truth is that we ALL have mental health and well-being.
Through our initiative, we will begin a journey of communal study, reflection, and training that will lead congregations to discern where God is calling them to impact mental health and emotional well-being in their communities.
Connect
- Build community by aligning interests and geographic areas
- Faith Health Summit (Spring 2025)
- Monthly Webinars
Equip
- Begin the journey with a congregational study guide to explore the connection of mind, body, and spirit through a biblical and theological lens.
- Develop a greater awareness of mental health and well-being in your congregation and community.
- Collaborate with neighboring congregations to develop projects that will contribute to community flourishing.
Mobilize
Abundant Life congregations will be equipped to develop mental health action plans to benefit your congregation, form outreach projects for the surrounding community, and understand how your physical space communicates the importance of mental wellness.
