Drawing on the Leading Causes of Life framework, Dr. Tillman will invite us to look beyond what threatens our health and pay attention to the forces that generate and sustain life as well as the powerful role faith communities can play in cultivating them.
10:45 AM – Case Study & Table Activity
Participants will explore a case study involving an individual experiencing a behavioral health concern, working together to identify the many factors, challenges, resources, and systems surrounding their experience.
11:30 AM – Panel Discussion: Co-Creating Communities Where People Can Thrive with Dustin Mailman, Phillip Cooper, and Beth Crissman
This panel brings Dr. Tillman’s keynote on the Leading Causes of Life into conversation with faith leaders and community practitioners. Panelists will explore how the conditions in which people live, work, worship, and form relationships shape behavioral health, and what role faith communities can play in shaping those conditions. Together they will consider what it could look like when congregations participate in building communities where all people can thrive.
