New Hope AME Zion Church

September 11, 2019 · by Lindsay Barth, Event Coordinator & PHW Communications Associate

“New Hope AME Zion Church Health and Wellness Ministry held a Back to School Celebration at Skateland USA in Clemons NC. This was a great way to bring our children and youth together before school started for the Fall with one last group physical activity before students got set into the routine of their studies. Active living is one of our main focuses at New Hope. This year our children and youth took hikes, zoo trips, swims in our local pools and participated in physical activities within our church. Some of the children even turned down the pink lemonade for water during the Back to School Celebration. We are very proud of our children and youth who continues to incorporate our healthy living teachings into their daily routine.”

Prioritizing health in our youth’s lives is so important in the development of healthy habits. Thank you to New Hope AME Zion Church for taking the time to teach health in a fun way while celebrating milestones along the way. We are grateful for the example you all set of truly living in God’s image!
