When: For more than 110 years, the American Lung Association has been America’s leading force for lung health—successfully tapping into America’s spirit of community that inspires us to work together for better health and longer life for all.
What: Our work is focused on five strategic imperatives: to defeat lung cancer; to improve the air we breathe; to reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families; to eliminate tobacco use and tobacco-related diseases; and to monitor and enhance organizational effectiveness.
Where: The office is located in Chicago, Illinois but can any one can get involved, anywhere in the country by volunteering or donating money.
Why: The American Lung Association wants to end lung disease and lung cancer and have a strategic plan to do so.
How: The Lung Association has a dedicated board of directors and nationwide assembly—volunteers who donate their time to help us plan and achieve our goals.
