Who:Since opening in Raleigh in 1991, the Poe Center has educated over one million participants from 97 counties using innovative teaching theaters, exhibits, online programs, and offsite programs.

How:By engaging in fun, highly interactive lessons, preschoolers through adults receive information on a variety of health topics, including nutrition, dental health, general health, family life, substance use prevention, bullying prevention, mental wellness, and cooking and gardening education. Programs for children and youth follow the NC DPI Essential Standards for Healthful Living Education.
