Get Going NC

“Living the Active Life in North Carolina”

Who  Joe Miller, with support from the BCBS Foundation of NC, launched Get Going NC

What This resource is all about finding a way to be active that you love. A combined passion for the outdoors and physical activity ring website curator Joe Miller his passion for helping people get outside and do what they love. Mostly helpful for major NC cities, this website lists information on how and where to get outdoors in NC to camp, hike, paddle and more.

Where  http://getgoingnc.com/

Why  “I know what it’s like to be lethargic, to have zero energy, to feel like a slug. Two days without significant movement and I’m a grouchy wreck, disconnected from who I am, who I like to be. I know what it’s like to be active, to have energy, to keep up with the kids on bikes, at the playground, on the basketball court — then to sleep really well at night. I know what a difference being active can make.” –Joe Miller

When The blog is updated regularly, and the tools on the website to search outdoor activities are always available.
