The mission of Anson County Senior Services is to provide county wide community based services designed to help older adults remain in or return to their own homes or other places of residence.
Services available at the Anson County Senior Center in Wadesboro include:
- Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program
- Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is geared at focusing on those individuals who are arthritic with various evidence-based ways to manage the disease.
- Congregate Nutrition
- Three Nutrition Sites located in Morven, Wadesboro and Peachland promote the health and well-being of older adults through the provision of a nutritious meal five days a week. Congregate nutrition services are available to persons who are 60 years of age or older and their spouses regardless of age.
- Educational & Recreational Activities
- Educational and Recreational activities allow individuals to fellowship and continue to enjoy life. Activities include:

- Seminars
- Tours
- Trips
- Workshops

- Family Caregiver Support
- Family Caregiver Support Program provides assistance for the caregiver. Sometimes persons caring for a love one feel overwhelmed with their caregiving responsibilities. This program provides assistance by relieving the caregiver with In-home respite care for a few hours, nutritional supplements or incontinence supplies if needed.
- Health Promotion/Disease Prevention
- Health Promotion/Disease Prevention is a state funded program geared at helping to keep older adult healthy and aware of diseases affecting older adults. Distribution of informative pamphlets, seminars, health fairs and workshops are some of the activities of this program.
- Home Delivered Nutrition
- Home Delivered Meal Programs located in the following cities help individuals to maintain and improve the health of impaired home-bound older persons by providing a nutritionally balanced meal served in the home:
- Ansonville
- Burnsville
- Deep Creek
- Lilesville
- Morven
- Peachland
- Polkton
- Wadesboro

- In-Home Aide
- In-Home Aide Services assist individuals and their families with maintaining a safe, clean and healthy environment, enabling the recipient to stay in their home thereby maintaining their dignity and independence.
- Legal Aid Services
- Senior Law Project (Legal Aide of North Carolina) serves clients who are 60 years of age or older by providing high quality legal assistance in a timely and responsive manner to Anson County clients. For service call 1-877-579-7562 (toll-free), for an appointment.

- Powerful Tools for Caregivers
- Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) Counseling
- Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) counseling is available to any resident of Anson County by appointment only.

- Transportation Services are available to anyone that is 60 years of age or older in and surrounding Anson County.
