No, the Abundant Life initiative is open to any worshiping community. Due to our roots with the NC Council of Churches, much of the language used on our website and in our worship materials reflects the Christian tradition. However, we welcome and encourage all worshiping communities that desire to engage in wellness and behavioral health programming.
For the 2026-2027 program year, applications will be accepted starting July 1 and will be accepted through August. 24, 2026. Members of our team are available to answer questions before submission. Please contact us with your congregation’s name and location, and we will address your concerns or questions.
Applications will be reviewed once the application period closes. Faith communities will be notified of their acceptance in the first few weeks of September.
While individuals can participate in our programming, the Abundant Life Initiative is a communal process and must have the endorsement of the community’s leader or church leadership, depending on the ecclesial structure of your community. Before beginning the application process, please meet with your congregation’s leadership team to determine if there is interest, buy-in, and support for the congregation’s full participation. The faith community’s financial officer must also be involved in the process if funding is made available later in the process.
We are no longer offering healthy eating mini-grants as we are focusing our work on behavioral and mental health. If your congregation is interested in applying to be a part of our Abundant Life cohort.
