Our Strategy for Transformation

From Awareness to Abundant Life

Our work unfolds in three interconnected tiers of engagement: Educate → Equip → Mobilize. It’s our strategy of transformation from awareness to action. Below are some key ways you can engage with us, whether you’re just beginning or ready to deepen your impact.

We believe that when faith communities are educated about the realities of behavioral health and its deep connection to our spiritual lives, equipped with practical tools and compassionate understanding, and mobilized to build and advocate for systems that promote wholeness, they become powerful agents of healing, resilience, and justice.

Increase awareness, normalizing the conversation, inspiring faithful engagement

We begin by raising awareness and cultivating a culture of compassion around mental health in faith communities. Through education and storytelling, we work to break stigma, name mental health as a matter of faith, and create brave spaces for honest conversation and reflection. This first step lays the foundation for deeper action.

We do this through:

  • The Abundant Life Study Guide
A ready-to-use resource for starting conversations about mental health in your congregation.
  • Webinars
Events that spark dialogue, share lived experiences, and invite theological reflection.
  • Voices (Newsletters & publications)
Regular updates and reflections to keep you informed, inspired, and connected to a growing movement.
  • Social Media Engagement
Ongoing content that educates, encourages, and connects—follow us to stay inspired.

Resourcing leaders, empowering congregations, and building confidence for faithful, practical action.

Awareness alone isn’t enough—leaders need tools, knowledge, and support to respond effectively. We build capacity within congregations by training clergy and lay leaders, offering workshops and resources, and facilitating networks.

We build capacity by offering:

  • Trainings
(Mental Health First Aid, Narcan Training, Becoming a Trauma-Informed Faith Community)
  • Workshops
Share practical skills, theological grounding, and real-world strategies.
  • Annual Summits
To connect, inspire, and deepen collective learning.
  • Microgrants
To support peer support specialist or community health worker certifications.
  • Resources
Practical tools that guide you in fostering mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being within your community.

Going deeper and taking action by becoming a hub for Abundant Life. Join the movement of creating ecosystems of health and wholeness

Some congregations feel called to go further. We walk alongside them in a deeper, yearlong journey to become Abundant Life Mental Health Hubs—creating lasting, community-centered ministries of care and resilience. Peer learning cohorts and networks that foster mutual support and shared wisdom.

Through the Abundant Life process we:

  • We walk alongside churches ready to embed mental health into their core ministry, becoming sustainable ecosystems of care and catalysts for community transformation.
  • Provide opportunity for subgrant funding.
  • Provide coaching
