Growing Communities of Inclusion: A Faithful Response to HIV/AIDS is an initiative of the North Carolina Council of Churches, working to provide faith leaders and communities of faith with accurate information, accessible resources, and dispel myths about HIV/AIDS those living with it.
This work on HIV is rooted in our other focus areas of harm reduction and mental health. In those programs, we have focused on eliminating stigma and fostering compassion among faith communities. When addressing and educating around HIV, we plan to take similar approaches. We know that faith communities are so important, particularly in the South, and they can be sources of powerful change when addressing stigma.
