We are excited to announce that beginning June 1, 2023 (the beginning of the second grant cycle of 2023) churches that identify as United Methodist, African Methodist Episcopal, African Methodist Episcopal Zion, and Christian Methodist Episcopal are eligible for an expanded/supplemental grant program.
Congregations affiliated with the UMC, AMEZ, AME, and CME denominations are eligible to apply for a mini-grant of up to $3,000 or a community grant (3 or more churches working together*) of up to $10,000.
If your congregation has already received a grant in 2023, you are eligible to apply for a supplemental grant of up to $2,000 (or the difference between $3,000 and your original grant reward).
The first step to applying for a grant is to join The PHW Collaborative. If you have already received a grant in 2023, you do not need to fill out a new Collaborative Pledge. Contact phwinfo@ncchurches.org to learn how to apply for a supplemental grant.
